Workers at the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) have abandoned their posts at the utility's Cassada Gardens compound in a protest over working conditions and other grievances, according to Antigua News Room.

The workers were observed moving along Old Parham Road toward the organisation's headquarters. They were accompanied by officials from the Antigua and Barbuda Trades and Labour Union.

The nature of the specific grievances and the number of workers involved have not yet been disclosed. It remains unclear at this time how the walkout may affect utility services across Antigua and Barbuda.
