Employees of the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) have been directed to resume work following high-level talks that brought an end to Monday's industrial action. According to Antigua News Room, the meeting convened Public Utilities Minister Melford Nicholas, APUA management, and union representatives in an effort to resolve the dispute.
Officials from the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU), including executives and shop stewards, participated in the negotiations alongside APUA management representatives.
The intervention by Minister Nicholas resulted in an agreement for workers to return to their duties, bringing the work stoppage to a close.
