Antigua and Barbuda's government is set to significantly boost its agricultural operational capacity with an incoming shipment of heavy-duty machinery, expected to arrive next week.

According to Antigua Observer, the announcement was made during a post-Cabinet media briefing on Thursday by Maurice Merchant, Director General of Communications in the Prime Minister's Office. Merchant indicated that Agriculture Minister Anthony is connected to the initiative, which signals a continued government commitment to strengthening the country's farming sector.

The arrival of the new equipment is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of agricultural activities across the twin-island nation, as the government moves to modernize its farming infrastructure.
