According to Antigua Observer, the evening's earlier contest was equally decisive, with Phoenix delivering a statement performance by dismantling United 83–53 in a dominant display that signalled their intentions for the season ahead.

The Gunners' victory over Fearless Crew extended their perfect run through the early stages of the Division Two campaign, cementing their position at the top of the standings. The 15-point margin reflected a controlled and composed performance from Cedar Grove.

Phoenix, meanwhile, made their presence felt in emphatic fashion with a 30-point rout of United in the early game, putting the rest of the division on notice with an offensive output of 83 points.
