Proclamation Appointing Place and Time for the First Session of Parliament
Ref: 2026, No. 39Governor General Sir Rodney Williams has issued a Proclamation, dated May 11th, 2026, appointing the Parliament Building on Queen Elizabeth Highway in Saint John as the venue for the First Session of Parliament. The session is set to commence at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18th, 2026. This Proclamation is made pursuant to Section 59(1) of the Constitution of Antigua and Barbuda, which grants the Governor General the authority to determine the time and place of parliamentary sessions.
