No. 25-Extraordinary 14th April, 2026-Editor’s Final Draft

Statutory Instrument No. 34 of 2026 amends the Prevention of Terrorism (Security Council Resolution) Order. This is the 18th such amendment and was circulated as part of this Extraordinary Gazette edition. It relates to Antigua and Barbuda's obligations under UN Security Council resolutions on terrorism.

Governor-General Sir Rodney Williams issued Writs of Election to Returning Officers for all constituencies in Antigua and Barbuda, following the dissolution of Parliament on April 1st, 2026. The general election is set for April 30th, 2026, with candidate nominations having taken place on April 13th, 2026 at designated local schools. Returning Officers are required to certify the name of the elected member to the Governor-General by May 1st, 2026. Constituencies covered include St. John's City West, St. John's City East, St. John's City South, St. John's Rural West, St. John's Rural South, St. John's Rural East, St. John's Rural North, St. Mary's North, St. Mary's South, All Saints East and St. Luke, All Saints West, St. George, St. Peter, St. Philip North, St. Philip South, and St. Paul.

The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission published its official Statement of Persons Nominated for the April 30th, 2026 general election. This notice lists all candidates who were formally nominated at the designated nomination venues on April 13th, 2026. The statement covers all constituencies across the country.
