The National Youth Parliament Association of Antigua and Barbuda (NYPAAB) has officially concluded its Back-to-School Raffle initiative, completing a series of donations to schools across both islands.
According to Antigua.news, the initiative launched earlier this year and saw several schools benefit from the campaign. Among them was Newfield Primary School, where fifth and sixth grade students received free eye screenings through a partnership with Eye Mobile Vision Care, alongside sporting equipment sponsored by Faster Freight Antigua.
The campaign also reached Barbuda, with Sir McChesney George Secondary School receiving a donation of air conditioning units. During the visit, NYPAAB leadership met with the school's student council.
Ezekiel Francois, president of NYPAAB and founder of the Barbuda Council, led the Barbuda delegation and coordinated with the school's principal ahead of the handover.
The raffle itself featured more than 50 prizes contributed by over 70 businesses across Antigua and Barbuda. Organisers directed half of all ticket sale proceeds to six schools in total, including two in Barbuda, with funding channelled toward agriculture, art, and homework centre resources.
