A Jamaican national wanted for murder in his home country has been removed from Antigua and Barbuda and transferred to Jamaican law enforcement authorities.
According to Antigua Observer, the suspect was escorted aboard a LIAT 20 flight to Jamaica on July 10th, where he was handed over to Jamaican police without incident.
Prior to his arrest, the man had been residing in the Cedar Valley community. Police detained him on July 9th during a law enforcement operation in Liberta.
During the operation, officers searched a motor van occupied by the suspect and seized several electronic items for further investigation. The vehicle was also confiscated by authorities.
The suspect was removed from Antigua the following day, completing a swift two-day process from arrest to deportation.
