A Jamaican national wanted in connection with a murder in his home country has been arrested in Antigua and Barbuda, deported, and transferred to Jamaican authorities.
According to Antigua News Room, police detained the suspect during an operation in Liberta on July 9. He had reportedly been residing in Cedar Valley prior to his arrest.
During the operation, officers searched a van occupied by the suspect and seized several electronic devices as part of their investigation. The vehicle was also confiscated by authorities.
The suspect was escorted to Jamaica aboard a LIAT 20 flight on July 10 and handed over to Jamaican law enforcement officers without incident.
