Abigail Noel has been crowned the first-ever champion of the St. John's Rural South Talent Takeover, taking home the grand prize of $1,000 after a standout performance at Club Labour on Saturday, July 18.
According to Antigua News Room, the St. John's Rural South Youth Arm successfully hosted the inaugural event, bringing together eight young performers for an evening of music, entertainment, and community engagement. Winners were determined entirely by audience vote.
Noel claimed first place with a powerful rendition of Adele's One and Only. Ariel Royer finished in second place, earning $600 for her original song Young and Reckless, while Jr. Alstar Braffer secured third place and $400 with an impressive performance of his own original composition, Samba.
The evening also featured guest performances by Voltage Band, C4 Entertainment, and Antsness, contributing to the night's vibrant atmosphere.
The St. John's Rural South Youth Arm extended sincere thanks to all contestants, performers, sponsors, volunteers, and patrons for their support. Buoyed by the overwhelming response to the inaugural staging, the Youth Arm announced its intention to make the Talent Takeover an annual platform dedicated to celebrating and nurturing young talent across Antigua and Barbuda.
