The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is appealing to the public for help identifying and apprehending a male suspect believed to be responsible for the murder of 29-year-old Leyandrew Hubbard of Potters.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, police received a report of a shooting on Ladoo Road in Potters. Officers arriving at the scene found Hubbard lying unresponsive on the southern side of the roadway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at approximately 12:37 p.m.

A second man, from Urlings, was also shot during the incident. He sustained a gunshot wound to his back and was transported by Emergency Medical Services to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he remains in critical condition and is expected to undergo surgery.

The Royal Police Force is urging anyone who witnessed the incident, or who holds information that could assist in identifying or locating the suspect, to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914, or Crimestoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).

The Police Administration is also making a direct appeal to the suspect to surrender himself without delay at any police station.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing. The Commissioner of Police and the entire Police Administration have extended sincere condolences to the family and friends of Leyandrew Hubbard.
