Law enforcement officers from across the Caribbean have successfully completed a two-week Close Protection Officer (CPO) Course at the Sir Wright F. George Police Academy in Antigua. According to Antigua News Room, the training was conducted in collaboration with the Regional Security System (RSS) as part of ongoing preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) and other major national events.

The course brought together participants from the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, the Immigration Department, and the Customs Department, alongside regional counterparts from Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The intensive programme sharpened participants' knowledge and practical skills in close protection operations, strengthening their capacity to provide professional security for dignitaries and other protected persons. It also served to deepen regional partnerships and promote greater cooperation among Caribbean law enforcement agencies.

The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda extended its appreciation to the RSS, the course instructors, and all participants for their dedication to excellence and regional security.
