Antigua and Barbuda's 2025 Population and Housing Census is entering an intensified phase, with authorities accelerating the nationwide exercise and recruiting 300 census workers to support the effort. According to Antigua News Room, the Census Department is now actively inviting interested individuals to apply for these positions.

The census, which launched late last year under the theme "Mapping the Present, Shaping the Future," is set to intensify in the coming weeks as officials roll out a nationwide public awareness campaign. That media campaign will be expanded during the Carnival season, aiming to educate residents about the purpose of the census, the role of enumerators, and what households can expect when census workers arrive at their doors.
Officials are urging the public to cooperate fully with enumerators, who will be clearly identifiable by an official census uniform, a valid Census photo identification card, and a letter of authorization.
The Census Department has assured residents that all information collected will remain strictly confidential and used solely for statistical purposes. The data gathered is intended to guide national development decisions, including planning for schools, healthcare facilities, public infrastructure, employment initiatives, and other essential services.
