The Antigua and Barbuda Scout Association (ABSA) has extended its congratulations to Mr. Cordel Eden Alexander Josiah following his investiture as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE). According to Antigua Observer, Governor-General His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams presented Mr. Josiah with the honour's official insignia at the formal Investiture Ceremony.
Mr. Josiah has dedicated decades of service to the Scouting Movement and to the people of Antigua and Barbuda. A former Chairman and current Vice Chairman of the ABSA, he has provided leadership that has strengthened the governance, growth, and development of Scouting across the nation.
His commitment to youth development, community service, and volunteerism has influenced generations of young people and Scout Leaders. The ABSA noted that his dedication to the values of integrity, service, leadership, and duty continues to reflect the highest ideals of the Scouting Movement.
The Association described the honour as a fitting tribute to Mr. Josiah's contributions to national development and his lifelong commitment to public service.
Speaking on behalf of the National Executive Committee, Commissioners, Leaders, Scouts, and the broader membership of the ABSA, the organisation expressed pride in celebrating this milestone with Mr. Josiah and wished him continued good health, success, and many more years of distinguished service to Antigua and Barbuda and the Scouting Movement.
