A Public Works Department employee was shot while on duty at a work site on All Saints Road on Tuesday in what is believed to have been a drive-by shooting.
According to Antigua News Room, the victim — a heavy equipment operator — sustained gunshot wounds to the stomach and foot after gunfire was directed at the work site. He was subsequently transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. No information has yet been released regarding a suspect or a possible motive.
