Jahciba Shoy, 27, has been released on bail after the High Court dismissed murder, aggravated robbery, and manslaughter charges against him stemming from the 2023 fatal robbery at Pick 'N Mix Mart, which claimed the life of businessman Roudi Shmaly.

According to Antigua News Room, Justice John Spencer upheld a no-case submission, ruling that the prosecution had failed to present sufficient evidence for the matter to proceed before a jury. While prosecutors indicated their intention to appeal the decision, the court granted Shoy bail in the interim.

Bail was set at a $10,000 bond with two sureties and no cash deposit required.

The prosecution's case rested primarily on surveillance footage showing Shoy walking alongside the eventual gunman prior to the robbery, as well as evidence connecting him to a shoulder bag similar to one later observed in the possession of the teenage shooter.
