The Government of Antigua and Barbuda is calling on the public to help locate the next of kin of two deceased men whose bodies have remained unclaimed for more than two weeks.

The Office of the Chief Health Inspector issued a public notice confirming that the bodies of Karl Lashley, who died on June 3, 2026, and Isaac Watson, who died on June 24, 2026, are currently being held at Barnes Funeral Home pending burial arrangements.

Family members are urged to contact Jessica Barnes, Managing Director of Barnes Funeral Home Limited, to make private burial arrangements. The funeral home is located on Irving Barnes Close, American Road, and can be reached at 462-1037.

Health officials have warned that if no relatives come forward within 14 days of the notice's publication, the Government will proceed with interring the deceased at a public cemetery. The notice further states that once the Government carries out the burial, no legal action regarding the interment will be entertained.

The Office of the Chief Health Inspector is asking the public to help ensure the notice reaches anyone who may know the families of the two men. Authorities expressed hope that relatives will respond promptly so that appropriate arrangements can be made before the deadline expires.
