Beachgoers are being urged to exercise caution after a shark was reportedly spotted swimming close to shore at Ffryes Beach on Sunday, according to Antigua News Room.
Witnesses reported seeing the shark near the shoreline, sparking concern among swimmers at the popular beach. The sighting comes in the wake of a recent shark attack in which a fisherman from Urlings was seriously injured while at sea. He is currently continuing his recovery.
Authorities are advising swimmers, snorkelers, and other water users to remain alert at all times. Officials are urging the public to avoid entering the water if sharks or any unusual marine activity are observed in the vicinity.
