The Hopeful Hearts Foundation Youth Group is calling on residents, businesses, and community partners to support a youth-led Back to School Donation Drive designed to provide essential school supplies to students and families in need ahead of the upcoming academic year. According to Antigua.news, the initiative was conceived and organised entirely by members of the Youth Group, who sought a meaningful way to give back to their peers.
Youth members are taking an active role in every aspect of the drive — identifying community needs, coordinating outreach efforts, and directing the distribution of donated materials. The group is requesting donations of school supplies including backpacks, notebooks, pencils, and other educational essentials.
"This initiative represents the heart of youth leadership — young people recognising a need in their community and taking action to make a difference," the Hopeful Hearts Foundation said. "By supporting this drive, the community has an opportunity to encourage and empower the next generation of leaders."
Students and families requiring school supplies are invited to attend the Back to School Donation Drive on August 1st, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM at Wadadli Spaces on Herberts Road, St. John's, where donated items will be distributed.
Those wishing to contribute must submit donations by July 27th, 2026.
The Hopeful Hearts Foundation said the initiative reflects its broader mission of creating opportunities for young people to lead, serve, and drive positive change within their communities.
