Construction has begun on a new community bathroom facility in Seatons, with additional projects planned for Glanvilles, Newfield, and Willikies. According to Antigua News Room, the initiative is being driven largely by residents who have volunteered their time and skills, with local businesses providing financial support and in-kind donations.
St. Philip's North MP Randy Baltimore is spearheading the effort, and photos shared by the MP show volunteers laying concrete blocks and carrying out the early stages of construction at the Seatons site.
Baltimore said the project reflects what can be achieved when residents and businesses work together toward a common goal. He thanked the volunteers, business owners, and supporters involved, noting that their contributions are helping to strengthen community partnerships and improve public amenities across St. Philip's North.
The Seatons facility is the first in a series of community bathroom projects planned for the constituency.
