The Permanent Delegation of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) in Geneva held a special reception at The Atrium of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Headquarters on June 19 to commemorate the bloc's 45th Anniversary, one day after the official OECS Day.

According to Antigua News Room, the celebration highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the Caribbean, with a featured performance by acclaimed Antiguan and Barbudan pannist Khan Cordice. Cordice, who also headlined last year's pan music recital marking the 44th OECS Anniversary, captivated guests in attendance. He was accompanied on keyboard by Ms. Khadijah Simon, also of Antigua and Barbuda.

The anniversary reception brought together diplomats, international partners, and members of the Caribbean community to mark 45 years of regional integration and cooperation.

The Permanent Delegation of the OECS in Geneva was established in 2005 in response to the lack of an effective OECS presence within the WTO. The Delegation monitors, analyses, and reports on developments within the organisation, while also submitting proposals to its committees and councils.
