Information, Communication Technologies, Utilities and Energy Minister Melford Nicholas has concluded a series of high-level meetings in China focused on advancing Antigua and Barbuda's digital transformation agenda.
Nicholas, accompanied by Information Technology Centre Director Luxmore Edwards, met with Huawei Vice President Harry Bei during the delegation's visit to the People's Republic of China. The Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Information Technology announced that discussions centred on potential collaboration in ICT infrastructure, artificial intelligence and smart government solutions.
The talks explored opportunities to strengthen the country's digital infrastructure and improve the delivery of government services through technology. Officials described the engagements as part of the government's broader strategy to build a modern and resilient digital ecosystem capable of supporting innovation and public sector transformation.
