The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is calling on the public to donate blood urgently for a police officer seriously injured in a traffic accident.
According to Antigua News Room, Sergeant Jeffery Benjamin, badge number 568, was struck by a Mack truck on Friday, July 3. He is currently receiving treatment at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and is in critical need of blood donations.
The force is asking members of the public to donate at the hospital's laboratory as soon as possible, regardless of their blood type. Officials confirmed that all blood types are needed and will be greatly appreciated, emphasising that every donation has the potential to save a life.
The Royal Police Force extended its gratitude to members of the public for their continued support and urged all those who are able to donate to come forward without delay.
Sergeant Benjamin remains under medical care following the collision. Police have not released further details regarding his current condition or the circumstances surrounding the incident.
