The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is investigating the sudden death of a 24-year-old man from Swetes, according to Antigua Observer, which cited a release from the Force's Office of Strategic Communications.
Officers attached to the All Saints Police Station responded to the man's residence early Monday morning after a family member found him unresponsive. The discovery was made sometime between 5:30 and 6 a.m., prompting an immediate call to police.
The man was pronounced dead at approximately 7:45 a.m. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death was subsequently launched.
Police have not released the identity of the deceased. Investigators have not indicated what may have led to the death, and no further details have been made public at this time.
The Police Administration extended its condolences to the man's family and friends, and asked the public to respect their privacy during this difficult period.
