The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda is urging residents to exercise increased vigilance and take practical steps to safeguard their personal belongings following two separate theft incidents reported in late June.

In the first incident, police are investigating a burglary at a residence in the Green Bay area that occurred shortly before midnight on Monday, June 29. Three unknown men allegedly forced their way into the home of a female occupant. The suspects stole several items before fleeing the scene, including gold jewellery, silver chains, a cellular phone, a handbag, and a jewellery box.

In a separate incident, police are investigating the theft of a Samsung Galaxy A22 cellular phone valued at approximately EC$650.00. The phone was stolen sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, while the owner was in the Joseph Lane area.

The Police Administration is reminding residents that criminals frequently target valuables that are easily accessible or left unattended, and is encouraging the public to take proactive measures to protect their property.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing. Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or 462-3914, visit the nearest police station, or submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
