WISH and the Hopeful Hearts Foundation have officially launched a new inspirational mural at Parham Primary School, marking the occasion with the handover of a set of "Be Kind to Your Mind" mental health posters designed to support emotional wellbeing among students. According to Antigua.news, the handover took place on Friday, June 26, 2026, with WISH Founder Chaneil Imhoff presenting the materials to Principal Gayle Walter during the launch ceremony.

The posters form part of WISH's UNESCO-supported grant project and are intended to be displayed in classrooms and outdoor learning spaces when the new school year begins in September. They were designed to help students better understand their emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, and become more familiar with positive mental health language in their everyday school environment.

Imhoff emphasised the importance of equipping children with emotional tools from an early age. "Children need to understand that emotions are a normal part of life, but they also need to know how to cope with what they feel in healthy ways," she said. "These posters are simple, child-friendly reminders that encourage self-awareness, kindness, and emotional regulation. If we want to build healthier communities, we have to begin by supporting the mental and emotional development of our children."

Imhoff also spoke to the personal significance of the contribution, noting that Parham Primary School holds deep meaning for her and her family. "This school means a lot to me. My mother, my sisters, and many of the people who are important to me passed through Parham Primary School," she said. "So, to be able to contribute to its development in this way is something I am very proud of. It is not just about giving posters. It is about giving children daily reminders that their minds matter, their feelings matter, and they have the ability to work through difficult emotions."

Principal Walter welcomed the donation and pledged to put the resources to meaningful use throughout the school. "We accept these posters with a grateful heart," she said. "At Parham Primary School, we are trying our best to create well-adjusted minds, and resources like these support that goal. We shall make proper use of them in our classrooms and in our outside learning environments so that our children continue to be surrounded by positive messages that help shape how they think, feel, and act."

The handover is part of WISH's broader commitment to expanding access to mental health education and creating safer, more supportive environments for children across Antigua and Barbuda. Through its UNESCO-supported project, WISH has been developing practical, youth-friendly resources aimed at encouraging emotional literacy, self-care, and help-seeking behaviour.

WISH stated that it remains committed to partnering with schools, community groups, and organisations to ensure mental health awareness becomes a consistent part of the environments where children learn and grow, rather than a one-time conversation.
