A 63-year-old man was stabbed and robbed of his gold chain by two men on Armstrong Road on Friday afternoon, according to Antigua News Room.
The incident took place outside a superette on No. 2 Armstrong Road. The victim and his wife had just left the CMC area, where the couple had been selling rice pudding, when the man stopped at the location while his wife went inside the shop.
Police report that two young men approached the parked vehicle and one grabbed the gold chain from around the victim's neck. When the 63-year-old resisted, a struggle ensued during which he sustained a stab wound to his right shoulder. The weapon used appeared to be a pair of scissors, as reported by Antigua News Room.
The two suspects fled on foot in the direction of Kentish Road and remain at large. Police investigations are ongoing.
