With Antigua and Barbuda's Immigration Amnesty Programme now open to non-nationals residing in the country, the Principal Consultant of Caridocs, Nevoy Morrison, is urging Jamaicans to take full advantage of the opportunity to regularize their immigration status without delay.
"This opportunity only comes once every five years and provides eligible individuals with the chance to become regularized, giving them greater security and peace of mind. I strongly encourage every Jamaican who qualifies not to wait until the last minute to begin the process," Morrison said.
Caridocs is offering professional assistance with the procurement and processing of key documents required for amnesty applications. Recognising that many individuals and families are facing financial pressures, the company has introduced a flexible payment structure to ease the burden. Clients are required to pay 70% of the total cost upfront to commence the application process, with the remaining 30% due once the completed documents arrive in Antigua and Barbuda.
Applicants are being encouraged to begin early, as document processing and delivery can take up to 15 working days to be completed and returned to Antigua and Barbuda.
It should be noted that passport application services are temporarily on hold due to increased complexity in the passport application process. However, Caridocs remains available to provide guidance and general information to those with passport-related queries.
"Our mission is to make the document procurement process as smooth, professional, and accessible as possible. We understand the importance of this amnesty programme and are committed to helping Jamaicans obtain the documents they need in a timely manner. We encourage everyone who intends to apply to begin gathering their required documents now rather than waiting until the deadline approaches," Morrison added.
