A local cancer support organisation is mobilising the public this weekend in a push to reopen a key regional medical facility. The Community Charitable Ministry (CCM) has announced a public gathering on Saturday, June 27th, near the Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean on Queen Elizabeth Highway, according to Antigua Observer.
The CCM is organising the action to draw attention to the urgent need for the facility to resume full operations. The Cancer Centre Eastern Caribbean has played a critical role in providing oncology services to patients across the region, and its closure has left many without access to vital care.
