The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda has announced the recovery of the body of a man who went missing while swimming at Pigeon Point Beach.
Members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard discovered the body floating in the water at approximately 6:55 a.m. on Thursday, June 25.
The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Terry Tonge of Swetes. A medical doctor officially pronounced Mr. Tonge dead at approximately 8:22 a.m.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
The Royal Police Force extended sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Tonge during this difficult time.
