Two men are in police custody following a coordinated early morning search warrant operation targeting separate properties in Hatton, according to Antigua.news, as investigators probe reports of suspected jewellery theft.
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force and the Special Services Unit (SSU) conducted the operation at approximately 5:45 a.m. on Monday, June 22.
The searches led to the discovery and seizure of a quantity of jewellery, a mobile phone, and several other items believed to be connected to the ongoing investigation, police said.
Both men were subsequently arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property and are currently assisting investigators with their inquiries.
Police have not released the identities of the suspects, and no charges have been announced at this time.
