Salvation Army District Officer for Antigua and Barbuda, Major Jean Raymoncil Pierre, has been recognised and honoured for 25 years of dedicated service to the organisation. According to Antigua News Room, the award was presented during a special ceremony held in Jamaica, attended by officers, soldiers, and supporters from across the Caribbean Territory.
In addition to his leadership role in Antigua and Barbuda, Major Pierre holds oversight responsibilities for St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Maarten. The recognition highlights his unwavering commitment to serving communities, advancing the mission of The Salvation Army, and providing compassionate leadership throughout the region.
Over the past quarter-century, Major Pierre has ministered to individuals and families across the Caribbean, championing initiatives that address spiritual, social, and humanitarian needs. His leadership has strengthened Salvation Army ministries in Antigua and Barbuda while supporting the continued growth and development of the organisation's work in St. Kitts and Nevis and St. Maarten.
The Jamaica gathering also marked the graduation and commissioning of the "Keepers of the Covenant" Session — a group of newly trained Salvation Army officers who successfully completed their preparation for ministry and service. The graduates were recognised for their commitment to God's calling and their readiness to serve communities throughout the Caribbean Territory and beyond.
