Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 19-year-old Zowie Tomlinson of Parham, whose body was recovered from the waters at Devil's Bridge on Sunday morning. According to Antigua.news, preliminary reports indicate that the young woman allegedly jumped from Devil's Bridge into the sea late Saturday night.
Following reports of the incident, police officers and members of the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force Coast Guard responded and launched an extensive search operation by both land and sea.
Due to challenging conditions and other operational factors, the search was temporarily suspended overnight. The operation resumed early Sunday morning, and Coast Guard personnel subsequently recovered Ms. Tomlinson's body from the water and transported it ashore.
Police investigators remained at the scene on Sunday, conducting further inquiries into the incident.
