As anticipation builds for Antigua Carnival 2026, local soca artist Zamoni has released a new uptempo carnival anthem titled "What We Drinking?" — a track that celebrates culture, community, and musical legacy. According to Antigua News Room, the song pays tribute to the late and beloved Antiguan musician Papi by incorporating a horn sample from his catalogue, ensuring his sound lives on during the festival season.
The energetic track blends infectious rhythms, vibrant carnival energy, and a catchy singalong hook. Zamoni crafted the song with road marches, fetes, and large gatherings of revelers in mind, positioning it as a potential staple of the 2026 carnival season.
Produced by Tadj Martin and Mazin Rako, the song channels the authentic spirit of Antiguan Carnival while embracing a contemporary soca sound. Mix and mastering duties were handled by Riddim Master, delivering a polished, high-impact production.
"This song is all about bringing people together," Zamoni said. "Whether you're liming with friends, at a fete, or crossing the stage, the question remains the same — What We Drinking? At the same time, it's an honor to feature Papi's horn and keep a piece of his legacy alive during Carnival."
