The Antiguan government has clarified that its free tuition policy for the University of the West Indies (UWI) Five Islands Campus will apply exclusively to eligible Antiguan and Barbudan students pursuing their first undergraduate degree. According to Antigua Observer, the policy also extends to current undergraduate students already enrolled at the campus.
Director General of Communications in the Prime Minister's Office, Maurice Merchant, made the announcement on Thursday, outlining the key eligibility criteria attached to the initiative.
The clarification provides important guidance for prospective and current students seeking to benefit from the government's tuition-free commitment, confirming that those already midway through their undergraduate studies at the Five Islands Campus will not be left out of the programme.
