Personnel from the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS) have enhanced their capacity to monitor emerging threats, assess potential impacts, and support informed decision-making during emergency operations.
According to Antigua Observer, NODS staff participated last week in specialised training on DisasterAWARE, one of the world's leading disaster risk reduction and decision support platforms, developed by the Pacific Disaster Center.
The training equips NODS personnel with advanced tools to better track developing hazards and strengthen the agency's overall emergency response capabilities. DisasterAWARE is recognised globally as a critical resource for disaster management agencies seeking real-time situational awareness and data-driven decision support during crisis events.
