The United States has carried out a second consecutive day of airstrikes against multiple targets in Iran, according to Antigua News Room, citing a statement from US Central Command (CENTCOM).

CENTCOM announced the renewed offensive on Wednesday, framing the strikes as a response to what it described as "Iran's unwarranted and continued aggression." The command confirmed the action in a post on X, stating: "U.S. Central Command forces began launching additional self-defense strikes today at 5:15 p.m. ET against multiple targets in Iran at the Commander in Chief's direction."

Earlier Wednesday, President Donald Trump signalled the renewed campaign from the Oval Office, indicating that negotiations with Iran had stalled. "We're going to be attacking them, attacking them very hard," Trump said. "We hit them hard yesterday. We're going to hit them again hard today, in case you miss it, in case you don't turn on your television set, and we'll see what happens with the deal."

The initial round of strikes, launched Tuesday, followed an incident in which a US helicopter was struck by an Iranian drone. The two crew members were forced to bring the aircraft down in waters off the coast of Oman. As reported by Antigua News Room, a US drone boat subsequently rescued the crew approximately two hours after the helicopter went down, according to Central Command.
