Government Seeks Family of Deceased Grays Farm Woman Before Public Burial

The Office of the Chief Health Inspector, through the Central Board of Health, is appealing for relatives of a deceased woman to come forward before the government proceeds with a public burial.

Ms. Silvie Martin of Grays Farm Village passed away on April 4, 2026. Her body is currently being held in storage at Barnes Funeral Home on American Road.

Family members are urged to contact Ms. Jessica Barnes, Managing Director of Barnes Funeral Home Limited, at 462-1037 to make arrangements for a private burial.

If no relative comes forward within fourteen (14) days of the publication of this notice, the government will proceed to have Ms. Martin interred at a public cemetery without further notice. Legal action after burial will not be an option.

The Central Board of Health is requesting the cooperation of all families in such circumstances.
