The Ministry of Works has begun replacing missing and damaged concrete slabs covering a major drainage channel in the Grays Farm and Grace Green area.

Minister of Works Maria Browne announced Monday that crews are actively carrying out the repairs to improve safety and accessibility for residents and pedestrians in the area. The work involves the replacement of broken and missing slabs over the large drain running through the community.

Residents had previously raised concerns about exposed sections of the drain, which pose hazards to both pedestrians and motorists.

The repairs form part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to address infrastructure concerns and maintain public safety in communities across Antigua and Barbuda. No completion date for the project has been announced.
