Two pupils from Buckley's Primary School have claimed top honours in a national art competition, with their winning designs now permanently displayed on a newly unveiled public mural.

According to Antigua Observer, the Department of the Blue Economy marked World Ocean Day on Monday by unveiling the mural and hosting an awards ceremony celebrating creativity and artistic achievement among the nation's youth.

The ceremony brought recognition to the young artists, whose work was selected from entries submitted as part of the annual observance of World Ocean Day. Their designs, now immortalised in the public mural, serve as a lasting tribute to both their talent and the importance of ocean conservation.

The Department of the Blue Economy used the occasion to highlight the significance of the ocean to Antigua and Barbuda's identity and economy, using the arts as a platform to engage younger generations in environmental awareness.
