A 34-year-old Tyrells man is facing multiple charges following a break-in at a business on Lower All Saints Road in which several electronic items and tools were stolen, according to Antigua.news.

Police have identified the accused as Tristan Armstrong. He has been charged with Breaking and Entering and Larceny, Malicious Damage, Resisting Arrest, and Escaping Lawful Custody.

The charges stem from an incident on May 29, when officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress at Turki and Son Store. Among the items stolen were eleven 43-inch JVC televisions, one 32-inch Royal television, two power drills, a vacuum cleaner, and a tool kit. Investigators subsequently recovered all of the stolen property.

Police credited members of the public for their assistance, stating that community cooperation was instrumental in advancing the investigation.

Law enforcement officials are also urging business owners to reinforce their security measures, specifically by installing adequate lighting, surveillance cameras, and other crime prevention systems to help deter criminal activity.

Armstrong is expected to appear before the court today to answer the charges.
