Police are investigating an assault on a supermarket owner who was struck with an iron pipe during an altercation at his business in Wilkinson's Cross, according to Antigua.news.

The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Friday, June 5, when an unknown man entered the supermarket and began behaving aggressively toward staff and patrons.

The owner confronted the man and asked him to leave the premises. The situation escalated, and the suspect struck the businessman across the jaw with a piece of iron pipe before fleeing the scene, as reported by Antigua.news.

The injured owner subsequently reported the matter to police. Officers responded and conducted searches of the surrounding area in an effort to locate the suspect, but no arrest was made.
