The Barbados government is preparing to launch a mobile application that will allow citizens to report public service issues — including potholes, water outages and waste disposal concerns — directly from their smartphones.

According to Antigua News Room, the platform, called the Pearly App, is scheduled to launch on Tuesday.

The Mia Mottley administration says users will be able to submit photos, videos, written descriptions and location data when logging complaints. Reports will then be automatically routed to the relevant government agencies for follow-up and resolution.

The app also includes features for tracking the progress of submitted issues, as well as the ability to file emergency reports.

The administration has described the initiative as part of a broader effort to modernise public service delivery and strengthen citizen engagement through digital technology.
