Two crew members were attacked and robbed in the early hours of Thursday, June 4th, while walking back to their vessel at Heritage Quay. According to Antigua Observer, the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on Popeshead Street, when a group of men approached and assaulted the pair.
Police are now actively searching for the suspects involved in the attack. The victims were reportedly on their way back to their ship when they were set upon by the group.
The incident raises fresh concerns about the safety of visiting mariners and crew members in the capital, particularly during late-night hours in areas frequented by port traffic.
