ST. JOHN'S, Antigua and Barbuda — Two suspects are in police custody and being questioned in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Sheldon Dias of Mock Pond, All Saints.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda announced that preliminary investigations indicate Dias was involved in an altercation with two individuals at Mock Pond shortly before noon on Friday, June 5. Officers arriving at the scene found him lying at the rear of a yard with multiple wounds to his body.
A medical doctor visited the scene and pronounced Dias dead at 1:45 p.m.
A man and a woman were subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder. Both remain in police custody and are assisting investigators.
The Police Administration extended sincere condolences to the Dias family as they mourn his death.
