A young man is receiving hospital treatment after being stabbed during a confrontation on St. Mary's Street, according to Antigua.news.
Reports indicate the victim had entered a phone store and sat down when his wallet fell from his pocket. Another young man who entered the store allegedly noticed the wallet and picked it up.
The situation escalated when the victim asked for his property to be returned. The suspect allegedly began removing money from the wallet and attempted to leave the premises.
The victim confronted the suspect outside the store, at which point the altercation turned violent. The suspect allegedly used a pair of scissors to stab the victim before fleeing the scene.
The injured man was transported to hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable and non-life-threatening.
