Abigail Piper will represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Miss Caribbean Universe 2026 pageant, set to take place on June 13 at the Ruth E. Thomas Auditorium in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
According to Antigua News Room, the 27-year-old brings more than a decade of pageant experience to the regional competition, along with a distinguished background in academics, the performing arts and youth development.
Piper's pageantry journey began in 2014 when she placed first runner-up in the Christ the King High School Queen of the Forms Pageant. She went on to win Teen Splash in 2016 and most recently earned second runner-up in the Antigua Labour Queen Pageant and first runner-up in Antigua's Queen of Carnival Pageant.
Her academic record is equally impressive. Piper graduated from Christ the King High School with 14 subjects — 11 Grade Ones and three Grade Twos — before earning an associate degree in entrepreneurship with honors from Antigua State College. She later completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with distinction from Rutgers University in 2022 and is currently working toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
In the performing arts, Piper has appeared in productions by the Antigua Film Academy, performs as a member of the band de Alphas and has served as a national cheerleader for Antigua and Barbuda. Her contributions to the arts were recognised with a National Cultural Award in 2017. She credits music, dance and drama with shaping her confidence, discipline and stage presence.
Beyond competition and performance, Piper has directed her energy toward youth empowerment. She recently conducted a primary school tour in the St. John's Rural North constituency, where she spoke with students about time management, financial literacy and academic focus. She also donated child-friendly financial literacy books to school libraries as part of the initiative.
Piper has expressed hope that her journey will inspire others to pursue their ambitions with determination, embrace their individual talents and apply their knowledge in service to their communities.
She will compete for the Miss Caribbean Universe 2026 crown on June 13.
