Her Ladyship the Honourable Madam Margaret Price Findlay has been appointed the 14th Chief Justice of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC), according to Antigua News Room.

His Majesty King Charles III formally made the appointment by letters patent, with the role taking effect on April 9th, 2026.

The appointment caps a distinguished legal and judicial career marked by exemplary service, sound jurisprudence, and a steadfast commitment to justice across the Eastern Caribbean sub-region.

As Chief Justice, Her Ladyship will assume judicial leadership and administrative oversight of the ECSC, which serves six independent Member States and three British Overseas Territories within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

The ECSC described the appointment as a significant milestone in the pursuit of judicial excellence, regional cooperation, and the reinforcement of the rule of law across the Eastern Caribbean.

The Court expressed confidence that under her leadership, the ECSC will continue to uphold the highest standards of judicial excellence and innovation.
