Antigua and Barbuda's Cabinet has approved the appointment of two former members of parliament as ambassadors-at-large, a move aimed at strengthening the nation's diplomatic service, officials announced Thursday.

According to Antigua Observer, Director General of Communications Maurice Merchant detailed the appointments during the week's post-Cabinet press briefing.

The two individuals appointed are former government minister Samantha Marshall and former opposition senator and minister Joanne Massiah, as reported by Antigua Observer.
