Antigua and Barbuda's Cabinet has moved to tighten border security by suspending visa waivers for all travellers from African nations, as the government seeks to prevent the potential introduction of Ebola into the country.
According to Antigua Observer, the decision was made during Wednesday's Cabinet session and introduces stricter screening protocols for applicants from African countries. Under the new policy, all such applicants are required to disclose their full travel history for the 45 days preceding their application.
The measures are described as precautionary, aimed at safeguarding public health while maintaining a structured process for reviewing travel requests from the affected region.
